London Tidbits
- Mark's And Spencer here in London has a food store.
That's my first grocery items from MnS

Everything is so damn expensive here in London. Just imagine this Deluxe Bacon Quarter Pounder plus Large Coke from Mcdonalds, It cost me 3.5gbp, that's almost 350 pesos! I though I 'd be able to save some money if I just took the burger and the drink and not the meal.

Now I learned my lesson, I just took the meal with the fries, medium Coke and Double cheeseburger for 3,68gbp.
Texas Embassy Restaurant which is located somewhere in Covent Garden...I ate a steak here together with some peeps at the office. I was ready to pay my bill that was worth 12.5gbp (almost 1200 php), good thing they decided to treat us. All right!
That's my attempt to cook a sinangag. Because I'm already running late one saturday morning and I grew impatient of the electric stove, I turned it to its maximum setting...and there you go...burnt garlic hehehe.

 Cooking Sinangag

That's the closest thing I had for a Filipino food.
Just one of my pathetic dinner...Fried Chicken plus French Fries...It cost me around 2.5gbp for that.

Also here in London, they have a ground floor and a 1st floor, unlike back home wherein the ground floor is the same as the 1st floor.
I've encountered a really smelly "pana". EEEwww...to think that was still early in the morning and I'm on my way to work.I guess here they don't really take a bath everyday. I've eaten too much mashed potatoes here. No more mashed potatoes + french fries + burgers for me for 1 whole month when I go back to Manila. Transport system here is superb with the oyster card, the DLR, the buses and the Tube. Riding the Underground Tube is really quite an experience. It was confusing at first, but eventually you'll get the hang of it. Those Tube maps scattered inside the stations are really handy. Remember to "Mind the Gap." TV is f^$&#$^#* bad hehehe. I was looking for basketball channels, too bad they are into too much football. There are no HBO and Star Movies here hehehe. Even PBA! Hahaha...Thank God for YouTube hehehe. Free newspapers are being handed everyday.People here likes to read a lot, whether they are in the Tube or in the Bus. There are licensed sex shops here. Too bad I can't take pictures inside the store hehehe. Did I just say inside??? Hehehe... I can stand the weather here which stands at around 10-12 degree celsius. The thing that I can't bear is when it starts to rain and the wind is blowing. Brrrrr....freaking cold.... People here walks very fast. I'm not really a "slow walker" sorry for the lack of a better term, but really people here walks very very fast, even women. They take giant steps and almost always in a hurry. Stalls here close early on a Sunday, around 6pm. It is during Thursday where stalls have longer operating hours. I don't know if they change their schedule during summer (the time of the year when even if it is 8 or 9pm the sun is still up). Labels: travel london mmc

Piccadilly Circus
Just taken from another site:
For many years, Piccadilly Circus - at the junction of five busy streets - has been a famous London Landmark. At its heart and backlit by colorful electric displays is a bronze fountain topped by a figure of a winged archer. The statue is popularly called EROS, the pagan god of love, but it was in fact designed in the 19th century as a symbol of Christian charity - a monument to Lord Shaftesbury, a philanthropist.

Another Cebu Pacific Promo
Cands gave me some info about the new Cebu Pacific promo and here is what I've found..
To mark the completion of its $670 million refleeting program, Cebu Pacific (CEB) is celebrating with a P1 one-way fare offering for all its 20 domestic destinations as well as five regional destinations. Passengers have only from March 2 to 8, or until seats last, to buy their tickets. This is good for travel from June 1 to December 15, 2007. The P1 fare is exclusive of taxes and surcharges.
"This is CEB's way of celebrating its brand new fleet of Airbus aircraft, which at barely 11 months old, is by considerable distance the youngest in the Philippines and is one of the youngest in the world." said Candice Iyog, CEB VP for Marketing and Product.
Iyog added "This is our biggest sale ever, where we've allotted about 10% of our capacity at the P1 fare. We have made available more than 300,000 seats…and for the first time, we have included Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta."
CEB has always been a trailblazer in creative pricing strategies, as it manages to give the lowest fares on every route it serves.
"CEB introduced low fares in the local aviation scene in 1996, which allowed more Pinoys to fly. Today, we continue our staunch commitment to travel and tourism by again lowering fares to an extreme, this time for both domestic and regional routes," Iyog said. "We are looking forward to having more first-time flyers on our flights and also hoping to see our regular flyers fly more often."
Iyog added that the best way to avail of the P1 fare is to book and purchase through the airline's website ( www.cebupacificair.com), though this is also available through CEB reservations at (02) 70-20-888 or CEB ticket offices and accredited travel agents. The P1 fare is for immediate payment upon booking.
"We encourage everyone to act fast and book their flights now for the best availability of the P1 fares before the seats are sold out," emphasized Iyog. CEB takes delivery of its 14th aircraft today, marking the completion of the airline's re-fleeting program. CEB operates the most domestic destinations, flights and routes, making the airline the Philippines' leading domestic carrier and low fare leader.

Bangkok - 3,911.00 Hong Kong - 2,914.63 Kuala Lumpur - 3,018.00 Singapore - 2,862.00 Jakarta - 3,422.00
