One Fine Sunday

Robin Sinclair, one of my officemates, invited Maritess and I for for a taste of Thai food in their abode somewhere in Teddington, London. This would be quite an experience, so we reserve one of our Sunday and we went to their place.

Just one of my few photos where I didn't hold the camera while taking my pic hehehe.

Thats Suzie, Robin, Me and Maritess

Thank you Suzie and Robin! The Thai food was great!

Just some tourist spot somewhere in Teddington.

The comments made on this post proved to be prophetic.Indeed, Ginebra and San Miguel Beer met in the finals, but there could only be one...down from 0-2 and won 4 straight games to be the one champion...the best All Filipino Team in the land today and that is my Barangay Ginebra Kings!!! To all the Ginebra fans out there (specially former officemates Joe, Dennis and Cands...ooppss di ka nga pala Ginebra hihihi! sa kalaban ka e hehehe!), relive our triumphant moment...

London Chinatown Year of the Pig Celebration

I guess Chinese are really everywhere huh. In London, they do have their own place and it's called...surprise...surprise...Chinatown! Sunday was the Chinese New Year celebration and lots of people went to Chinatown to celebrate it. The celebration was really a stampede waiting to happen. I even overhear somebody saying, "Ano ba yan, and daming tao, baka maWowowee tayo!." Ayus! Pinoy na pinoy di ba? hehehe.

Westminster London 2007

That's my new found friend at my back...Mr Big Ben! When I went up the stairs of the Westminster Tube Station, I already saw Big Ben. I just don't know how I felt when I saw it. II just couldn't believe my eyes. Then, I said to myself, hey! you're finally in London! Yey! I was really in awe, maybe its because it was my first time to go out of the country and the fact that my first trip was in Europe.

That's me with my boss. Good thing, she brought her friend with us, so there will be somebody who can take our picture.

Big Ben and the Blue Sky, lovely isn't it?

Small Pau and Big Ben

Westminster Abbey

That's the House of Parliament.

Posing with one of the statues.

The touring bus...

It's 3:15 in the afternoon

Another one with Big Ben

The world famous Briritsh Airways London Eye! I'll try to come back here next week and ride it. It's quite pricey though, I think its around 14.5 gbp (i.e. 1 gbp approx 100 pesos, so its around 1400! ) for the once in a lifetime opportunity to ride it for 30 minutes.

For 9gbp, we tried the river cruise via River Thames. This is where I got to see the good places here in London. Also a good time to do the photo shoot.

I love the this shot, the London Eye and the blue sky in the background.

That's me while riding the river cruise at River Thames.

Another look...

So I'm a hip hopper now huh...

All smiles and I forgot the name of the bridge at my back...

Its the Tower Bridge! Commonly mistaken for the London bridge...London bridge is falling down....

Tower Bridge Again!

Pose pose pose!

The Tower Bridge on my hand...

Yay, I forgot again what is it called ( the round thingie at my back hehehe)

I guess I have too much time on my hand, I've been posing and taking pics of myself tsk tsk tsk...

The Tower Bridge at night...This is where my tripod should had been handy...for those long exposure moments.

London Eye at night...

Finally arrived at London...

The place where I live...@ the Park Building

The view from the other side of the street

I just arrived at the flat...

That's how my room looks like. I have it all to myself because my boss stays at the other room.

The living room plus the eating area.

Just chillin'

Surf, surf, surf!

That's me while surfing the net..

That's the view outside my window...

And another one...

That's Bow Road Corner of Fairfield Street (Bow Quarter is located at Bow Road)

Just some street I guess.

Sunny London. I was fortunate enough to capture the sunshine. The weather here is a bit cloudy. The weather drops from a high of 10 degrees to around 5 degrees. Good thing, I am built for this kind of weather, but I just cant stand the cold when the wind blows. Thank God for the jacket, thermal pants and bonnet.Brrrrr...

That's the sign for the London underground tube (i.e. train). You'll get to see a lot of it if you go around here. Better familiarize yourself with the different lines and stations for the tube is one of London's primary means of transportation.
